JU BILE ECELEHR AT lON S. The Unity Lodge, 1.0.0. F., was formed fifty years ago, and la\c evening it celebrated its jubilee in toe Ea;B Settlors’ Hall. The evening took tin form of a socl .!, and the Imi' w.- 1 crowded. N.G. Bro. G. . Bowie; occupied the chair. During the evening B.G. Bro. A\ . C Campbell was presented with a voleran’s jewel by G.T. Bro. L. D. RiU cliie, and Bro. L. Hall was presenter with a framed eoriiTicato by flic Gram 1 Secretary (Bro. AVilkinsnu). The N.G. welcomed all present to tin “ great day ” in the lodge’s history. P.G.AI. Bro. D. AI. Afiller congratulated the lodge on the attainment o! its jubilee, and outlined its history. The Alavor (Air il. L. Taplcy) expressed his pleasure at being present, and on behalf of the citizens congratulated the lodge oh its achievement. He wished it every prosperity in the future. The Deputy-Grand Alaster of New Zealand (Bro. W. Simmonds) also complimented the lodge on its splendid work. . Songs were contributed during the evening bv Messrs G. Nicol and J Swan and* Airs Malhowson. The accompanist was Air AI. Glover. Later in the evening dancing was indulged in.
