In the case Mrs Lawrence, of Hamilton, against Dr Dun das Mackenzie, claiming £2,000 damages for alleged negligent treatment, the jurv returned a verdict for the full amount claimed. [The plaintiff, in her statement of claim, set out that tho defendant represented himself as a specialist in the treatment of cancer and chronic diseases. She consulted him in regard to a growth on her breasts, and was informed bv the defendant that she could be cured by treatment without an operation.]
