WELLINGTON, July 20. Two important matters were decided at a meeting of the Reform Party this morning. It was decided to appoint Mr J. S. Dickson (Parnell) senior Government Whip, in place of the Hon. R. F, Bollard, who, following tho •usual precedent, was recently promoted from tho Whip’s position to tho Ministry. Mr Dickson has been Government Whip since 1919, and has had twelve years’ parliamentary experience. Mr W. 8, Glenn (Rangitikei) is appointed junior Government Whip. li. is understood that tho Chairmanship of Committees was considered, and the decision was that the Government will support the nomination of Mr J. A. Young (Hamilton) for the position. The House will bo asked to make the appointment this week.
