The annual interfaculty sports of Otago University were held at tire Caledonian Ground this afternoon, there heing_ a fair attendance. After tho recent rains the track was very heavy. The University record for the 100yds was broken by A. E. Porritt, who covered tho distance m 10-gsec. The previous record for the distance was KRsec, performed by R. LChristie in 1913 and A. E. A harbor race for launches was held this afternoon under favorable weather conditions, controlled by tho Otago Yacht and Motor Boat Club. Tho couree was from tho corner of Victoria and Rattray street wharves, following the steamer channel and round tho dolphin off Milter Brothers’ shed in Carey’s Bay, reluming through the Victoria Channel. The distance was approximately sixteen mites.
