MAORI SENTENCED. [Per United Press -Association.] MASTERTON, March 17. Pakjra Haeata was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment for having committed actual bodily harm upon James Kenrick.

[Haeata was acquitted on the more serious charge of attempted murder. His counsel claimed that Haeata fired shots at Kenrick to bluff and frighten him away, as the latter was living with accused’s wife.]
