ARBITRATION COURT DECISION. The Arbitration Court has granted an application by tho union to add the Otago Hospital Board as a party to the Dunedin printers and decorators’ award. The Hospital Board will bo required to pay the award rate of wages and overtime at the prescribed rale for any work coming within the scope of the award, alto the rate for work on Sunday and holidays; but will bo exempted from the operation of all other provisions of tho award. In regard to the application to add the Dunedin Fire Board as a party, the court stated that it appeared that one of the firemen was a painter by trade, and did painting work for the board. He was primarily a fireman, and the work he did at his former trade was done under similar conditions to those applying to other tradesmen who were member’s of the Fire Brigade.
