CROSSING TRAGEDY. CORONER’S WARNING TO MOTORISTS. [Per Uxihd Press Association] CHRISTCHURCH, December L At an inquest last night on Daniel Sinclair and John Galloway Sinclair, father and son, who were killed at the Cutler's Hoad crossing on Novenibcr 20 by tho Dunedin express, Mr Widdowson, S.M,, held that there was nothing to obstruct tlie view of motorists, and no blame was attachable to the engine driver, who sounded the whistle. On seeing the tram the driver of the car endeavored to accelerate. with fatal results. Mr Widdowson added a, rider pointing out tho danger of motorists trying to cross in front of trains. A STOKER’S FATE. A Wellington Association message states that Harry Doran, a stoker from H.M.S. Chatham, who was found in an unconscious condition on the railway line between Heretaunga and Trentham on Wednesday night, died in Trentham Hospital this morning. He had a fractured skull and injuries to the back, but the cause is not known.
