RAIL AND TRAM TRAFFIC,
SYDNEY, October 9. (Received October 9, at 10.45 a.m.) Over 121,000,000 passengers were carried on the trains during the year ended June 30. Forty-two were killed. The tramway passengers numbered 351,000,000, the number of persons killed averaging one in 36,770,000 and the injured one in 752,000.

Dr Sinclair has issued a warning that piaguo has not necessarily been entirely eliminated from Sydney. An infected rat was discovered there as late as July 13. He draws attention to the fact that the Queensland outbreak occurred about this time lapt year.
