Y.W.C.A.

The interesting topic discussed after the usual tea at the meeting of the Naumi Club on Sunday evening in the Y.W.C.A. Rooms was ' The Unruly Member.' The title explains itself, and the 20 voung women present' displayed originality of thought, James iii. opened the subject, while Solomon's bright thoughts on the tongue were also read, thus showing its uses and abuses. It was shown that people were often too ready to repeat slanderous tales of others, aiid too little inclined to speak of their virtues. Why was this? "They say" was the root o'f much mischief. A lesson could be taken from the Saviour's example, when He rebuked the Pharisees: who had 'brought to Him the "sinful woman" (John viii., 5), and bade the sinless one among them to cast the "first stone at her." No one cast it.
