LODGE MEETING
It was a "big night" at the Hope of Dunedin Lodge of Good Templars on Friday night. After the Chief Templar had received officially District Chief Bro. Paterson with due honor, the D.C.T. presided, and the following lodges were also officially received: —Rescue, Lily of the Vailey, Hope of Caversham, and' Pioneer. Bros. M'Kinlay and Stanley were also seated on the right and left of the chairmaj:. Addresses on the good of the • )rder were given by Bros. Paterson, M'Kinlay, and Stanley. Reports of the- official visits to the Lily and Rescue were made, and a church parade on Temperance Sunday was approved. Tea and cakes and other edibles were hauded round, and a good programme, was gone through, the following being the items:—Piano solo, Sister Whitburn; recitation, Bro. Little; recitation, Sister Williams; accordion solo, Bro. Carmichael; song, Bro Dmilop; song. Bro. Porter; song, Bro. M'Kinlav ; songs, Bro Beveridge and Sister Curllne. Votes to the visitors, the Catering Committee-, the D.D., and the Hope of Dunedin were responded to.
