HARRIERS.
ST. JOSEPH’S. The annual general meeting of the above club was held m the St. Joseph’s Hall last evening, there being a large attendance of members and intending members.' ‘ The Rev. Father Buckley occupied the chair. Mr W. Butcher made a few remarks in support of the annual report, and Mr A. Ahern also spoke at length, eulogising the work of the secretary for the past season, also calling attention to the more important clauses in the report, which was adopted. The satisfactory state of the balancesheet. which was also adopted, did not call for any suggestive remarks. A revision of the rules was submitted and adopted. It was decided to award as an extra trophy a merit badge for the highest number of points made up by attendance, irrespective of position in a race. It was agreed, after a lengthy debate, to change the name of the club to the Shamrock Harriers. The election of office-bearers resulted as follows:—Patron, Bov. Father Coffey; president, Hon. J. B. Callan, M.L.C. ; vice-presidents—Rev. Father Buckley, Rev. Father Delaney, Dr E. J. O’Neill, C. A. Shiel, J. J. .Marlow; captain, Mr W. Butcher ; vice-captain, Mr A. B. Treacy ; committee—captain, vice-captain, secretary, treasurer, delegate, J. Kelly. A. Ahern, 0. Collins: delegate to 0.C., N.Z.A.A., .Mr E. Spain ; time-keeper and starter, Mr L. J. Coughlan; hon. handicapper, Mr J. Kelly ; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. A. MTvonzio ; auditor, Mr E. W. Spain. ' A number of new members were elected. It was decided to accept invitation to run from Y.M.C.A. on April 5, and the official opening was fixed for ,12th April. Mr A. Ahern proposed a vole of thanks to the chair and to the Press. ST. ANDREW. The 15th annual meeting of the above club was held in the Octagon Tea Rooms last evening, and was attended by a large number of members. Mr J. R. Droaver (president) presided, and read apologies from Messrs E. A. Roseveare, H. E. Clark, and A. Allan. The report and balancesheet were lead by the acting secretary, Mr A. C. Struthers. Tho_ Chairman congratulated the club on their sound financial standing, there being a credit balance of £5 15s 8d to carry forward. Ho urged the members to make the incoming season a record one as regards membership, and also to keep up their enthusiasm for clean amateur sport. He also congratulated the club on discovering such a promising long-distance runner in E. J. Kelly, who should register some good performances during the coming season. He reminded the members that the St. Andrew Harriers wore the second oldest club in New Zealand, and to worthily uphold their name in open events^. Williams; handicapper, A. C. Struthers; auditor, A. Allan; delegate Otago Centre, N.Z.A.A.. G. R. Dreavei ; starter, H. E. Clarke : timekeeper, T. Souness ; General Committee— F. M. Anderson, If. Kelly. C. M'Ghie. C. Hardy, E. Mowat, E. Talboys. L. MWilliams, A. C. Struthers, T. Miller.
The Chairman expressed tire club's regret at losing the services of Mr G. 11. Euens, who had done such excellent work for the club as secretary and later as captain. The Y.M.C.A. Club's invitation was accepted for the opening run on April 5. Three new members were elected, CARGILL ROAD .METHODIST. Tho annual general meeting of the Cargill Road Methodist Harriers was held in the schoolroom last evening. Mr A. T. MTmloo presiding over a good attendance of members. Seven new members were elected. The annual report congratulated the members on a successful reason. Twontrono runs had been held. The social life of the club was good,, united runs being held with the Dunedin, St. Kikla, and St. Joseph s Clubs. Rune had also been held as the guests of the Y.W. Bible classes at Mornington, Roslyn, Glcnaven, and Cargill road. Rev. and Mrs D. J. Murray, Messrs R. Slater, E. Paine, Turnbull, and the vice-presidents. Two races were held. Members had also taken part in outside events.'

Kitehin ; hem, treasurer, T. M'Gregor; hon. auditors. C. K. Cole and R. M'Gregor. The centre's invitation to attend the opening run from the Y.M.G.A. was received with thanks. A vote of thanks to the chairman, the retiring officers, and a special one to the Press brought tho meeting to a close.
