A SAD TRAGEDY.

Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, August 22. At the inquest on the victims of the Lilyfield tragedy a verdict was returned that Johnson shot Morgan and then committed suicide. Mrs Johnson gave evidence that she left her husband because he gambled and ill-treated her. He had frequently threatened to kill her. Johnson left two pitiful notes, making charges against his wife and a man, and threatening revenge. He added :" I want to get the lot of us together, and then I won't be responsible for my deed." He asked that his furniture be sold to help to support his child.
