MOUNT PISA RUN. IRRIGATION. [Special to the Stab.] CROMWELL, October 5. The following telegrams hare been forwarded to the-Prime. Minister and the Hon. P. M'Keime :-- Right Hon. Sir J. G. Ward, Minister of Lands.—The following resolution was carried unanimously at a public meeting of Cromwell district residents:—"Protest against any alteration in the present lease of the Mount Pisa run until the proposed alteration is submitted for consideration of residents of the district. A committee has been appointed to act." Hon. Roderick M/Kcuzie, Minister
of Public Works.—At a public meeting held hero last night the following resolution was carried unanimously : " Now that the Roaring Meg scheme has been favorably reported on by an authorised officer of the Public Works Department, this meeting of Cromwell district residents again urge upon the Government the great necessity of a vote being placed on this year's Estimates to cover the cost of the proposed work, as this is necessary for the very existence of the people here."
