A remarkable reception was given' to the British Fleet at the Hndson-Fulton celebrations^' Admiral Schroeder, in the course of a speech, said that the armaments of the rest of the world were dictated by the same, motives as those ruling in Great Britain 'and - America—namely, that a lasting peace might be assured. Admiral Koaster said that wherever Germans and English meet they most closely compete as members of two nations who were equally pushing ahead. Still, he believed that they would always try to establish good relations.
