ANXIOUS ABOUT THE ARK

CHBISTOHURCH, Juno 12. Tanner’s “Ark” loft Sumner on Tuesday last for Timam, The party on board included Tanner, two Christchurch young men named S. Hudson and C. Davis, two from Wellington named J. Dean and W. Wilson, and a new arrival from the Homo Country named Albert Edwards, who went as cook. It is understood that provisions for only three days were taken, and as the vessel has apparently now been out for eight days mnch cinxictv is felt for the safety of tho voyagers. When the “ Ark ” left Sumner a fair wind was prevailing, which should have carried her down to Timaru well within twenty-four hours.
