MR CHAMBERLAIN'S MEMORY. Press Association—By Telegraph— Copyright. LONDON, September 22. (Received September 23, at 9.25 a.m.) In the course of his s|*cch a.L Welbeck Abbey on August 4 Mr Chamberlain stated that he bad received from the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Manufactures in Western Australia a telegram wishing him “God-speed” in his fiscal mission. Mr Bye, secretary of the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce, wrote' Mm Chamberlain on the matter, and in reference to his letter Mr Chamberlain now states that the telegram from the Chamber of Commerce and Manufactures in Western Australia was received at Welbeck on the day of the speech. He does not remember which Chamber it was. as ihc telegram was left behind at Welbeck or destroyedf and he has not been able to find it.
