MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

Judgments for the Day Dawn Gold Dredging Company were given in each of the following cases against defendants for calls due: —D. R. Jones (Miller's Plat), £l2 10s, with costs (£2 lis 6d); J. D. Miller (Gore), £5, with costs (£1 Is 6d); William Cox (Gore), £5, with costs (£1 Is 6d); J. Hand (Miller's Flat), £l2 10s, with costs (£2 5s 6d). Tonkin and Co. (for whom Mr S. Solomon appeared) v. E. H. Watson (Clyde).— Claim, £lO 10s, for goods supplied.— Judgment for plaintiffs, with costs (£1 15s 6d). Thomson. and Co. (Mr Moore) V. Bridget Willis.—Claim, £2 ss, for goods. —Judgment for plaintiffs for 13s costs only. Louis Faigan (Mr John Wilkinson) v. James B. Smith.—Claim, £9 18s 4d, for woods supplied.—Judgment for plaintiff, with costs (£1 7s 6d). Greeuvale Dredging Company (Mr W. R Brngh) v. M. Crossan Claim, £l3 15s, for calls due. The decision was formerly given against defendant, but the latter applied for a rehearing on the ground that she was unable to appear in the court when the judgment was given. Both parties agreeing, the case was again heard, when judgment was given for defendant, with £2 10s costs.
