Captain Edwin wires as follows: « North to west and south-west gale; glass fall again soon; tides increase; indications rain.” A Gisborne wire states:—“ The weather during the last two days tee been cppresaively hot. The thermometer registered over 90deg in the shade and 115deg in the gun.”
