SAILED.-Octorer 21. Sir Henry, schooner, 82 tons, Cameron, for Hokitika. The Sir Henry took advantage of to-day's wind and left for Hokitika. The ship Oamaru, from Glasgow, was reported from C.»pe Saunders yesterday afternoon. The Koputai proceeded outtotenderher, but asnothing could be seen of the vessel the tug returned to port. The ship, however, reached the Heads about 10 p.m., and anchored. It is expected she will be towed into port this afternoon, and anchor in the quarantine grounds, as she ihas on board some combustibles. We hear that one of her apprentices received injuries by falling from aloft on to the deck about five weeks since. The ship Pleiades was towed down from Dunedin this morning and be;thed under the sheerlegs to hoist out a heavy lift, and to make her preparations for sailing for Napier, at which port she loads for London. The Shire line steamer Morayshire left the George street pier yesterday afternoon for London via Tiraaru, Ljtte'.ton, and the Bluff. Her cargo from this port comprised :—l,BsSi£sacks wheat, OS cases pelts, 79 do tallow, 154 baies wool, 178 do rabbitskins, 9 do sheepskins, 5 do basils, 1 do glue pieces, 19 do lea.her, 2 d > horsehair, 2 cases sundries, and the following frozen produce: —15,375 carcasses mutton, 438 quarters beef, 2ti bags and £8 cases do, 14 cases oc hearts, 75 do kidneys, 8,533 crates rabbits, 21 do and 5 bales hares, 153 cases mutton. Captain H. Douglas, owner of the barque EmEreza, has purchased the Russian barque Aldearan for the intercolonial trade. The American barque Alice, at present at Wellington, is manned by Japs, who are said to be as active as cats, and a complete success as seamen.
