THE BRUCE ELECTION.
Mr Allen was well received at the Minister of bands' meeting on Saturday night. At Lovell Flat on Friday Mr Allen received a vote of confidence, which was moved by Mr Dunlop and seconded by Mr A. Calder ; and at Milburn on Saturday a similar vote was carried on the motion of Mr G. Forster.
THE NOMINATION.
At noon today the following gentlemen were nominated: — James AiLfiS. proposed by Petor M.'GH!I (mill' r) and James Elder Brown (surveyor). Alfbed Lee Smith, proposed by Henry Olatk and John Tough (farmer). The poll takes place on May 4.
