TIMARU, January 8.
Henry Clark, a fireman on the s.s. Bangstira, has been arrested and remanded on a charge of stealing a pocket book containing L 6 from the person of a laborer. OAMARU, January 8.
The Oamaru Harbor Board’s endowment at Otemata Station was offered for sale this morning in six small grazing runs. Five were passed in without a bid, the remaining one (160 a) being purchased at the upset rental of L 163 15s, with L 45 valuation for improvements. INVERCARGILL, January 8.
The weather la now favorable, and shearing is well advanced. Good clips will be the rule. Wolseley machines have been used on several stations with highly satisfactory results,
