MR HUTCHISON, M.H.R.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir.,—l notice in last night’s Star the replies of the different candidates on the question of local option, in which teetotallers are greatly interested. Mr Hutchison was nominated on this ticket and got the support of this party. Your readers will also recollect that in returning thanks for his election he boasted that liquor had not had anything to do with his return. It is reported on good authority that Mr Hutchison paid bis share of the liqnor bill in connection with the late election, aad it is only fair to bis friends that this report should bo removed. I hope Mr Hutchison will satisfy bis friends and give the necessary explanation.—l am, etc., Abstainer. Mornington, January 7.
