CHRISTCHURCH, March 15.

Martha Dalziel, who in December last drowned her son in Rakaia River, will be brought up in Addington Gaol on Tuesday next charged with wilful murder. She has been under detention for some time, and is supposed to be insane. At Ashburton this morning Philip Maguire was charged on remand with setting fire to four stocks of wheat. He was further remanded, being admitted to bail in the sum of L4OO.

A man named George Kemble was so much injured while working at a flaxmill at Rangiora this morning that his arm had to be amputated.
