CITY POLICE COJJRT. (Before Messrs R. Paterson and W. Langlands, J.P.s.) Disorderly Behaviour. — Thomas Q'Cojinor. was charged with behaving in a disorderly manner In George street. —Accused was sentenced to three days’ imprisonment. Vagrancy, Margaret Thomas wqa charged with having insufficient lawful means of support.—Accused was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. Stray Cattle. Neil M'Fqdyen was charged with allowing four bead of cattle to wander at Maori Hill.—The case was dismissed. A House of 111-fame. Jane, Lawson was charged with being the occupier of a house frequented by persons having no lawful visible means of support. Mr Stuart appeared for the accused.—Affer hearing evidence the Bench adjourned the case for ten days to give the accused an opportunity of leaying the premises. ' Obscene Language.— Fanny Norton was charged with using obscene language within the hearing of persons passing in George street.—Accused was sent to gaol for seven days. Charges of Reprehensible Conduct.— Charges of using violent and abusive behaviour laid against John Jamieson and Herman Boring were dismissed,—Our report of the case is held over.
