(Before E. H. Carew, Esq., R.M.) P. and J. Isaacs v. W. Mosley.—Claim, L 22 Is 6d, on two promissory notes.—Judgment was given by default for L 7 Is 6d and L. Rutledge v. T. C. White.—Claim, L 3 7s Cd, on a judgment summons.—Defendant, who did not appear, was ordered to pay the amount claimed, with costs, by November 10; in default seven days' imprisonment. J. Gilmour v. R. Lorrimer.—Claim, L 4 2s Gd, on a judgment summons.—Case dismissed, as defendant had not sufficient means to satisfy the judgment. ' Otago Daily Times' and ' Witness' Company (Limited) v. Job L. Munson (Westport).—Claim, L 22 Is 6d, for newspapers supplied. Mr F. R. Chapman appeared for the Company. The evidence for the defence was taken at Westport, and it appeared that Lll lGs 9d had been paid into Court.— Judgment was given for the plaintiffs for Ll6 17s Sd and costs, less the amount paid into Court.
