THE NEXT MINISTRY.
A FORECAST. A correspondent, who takes a keen interest in political matters, expresses the hope that the idea of a Coalition Ministry with Sir J. Vogel will not be entertained. If a " common platform " can be agreed on, with retrenchment and financial reform as the main planks, he suggests the following names as acceptable:— Sir' John Hall (Canterbury).—Premier and; Post-master-General. Major Atkinson (Taranaki).—Colonial Treasurer. Mr G. F. Richardson (Southland) (or Mr B. MrrcusLSON, Aackland].—Minister for Publio Works. Captain Kusskll (Hawkc's Bay).—Lands and DeHon. Dr Grack (Wellington).—Colonial Secretary. Mr T. FBBors (Otago).—Minister (or Mines. Mr A. S. Mestbath (Wellington). AttornoyGencral. , Mr V., Pyke would be an alternative Minister for Mines, and if Mr Mitchelson again accepts the portfolio of Works (a : position in which he formerly gave general Satisfaction), Either Mr Izard (Wellington) or Mr Hislop (Oamaru) might be AttorneyGeneral. Our correspondent expects to see Sir Maurice O'Rorke again Speaker, and Mr Hamlin in his old post of Chairman of Committees. ■ -, , ■ . •
