FATALITIES.
John Aitkcn, a settler at Woodelde, near Outram, was found dead on his farm at eight o’clock this morning. His death is believed to have been accidental.
William Bateman Stanley, night porter at the City Hotel, was engaged on the roof of the tydl.ding cleaning out the spouting yesterday;'vjj.eh l he fell through a skylight on to an asphalt landing below. He was removed to the Hospital, Mere he died this morning. An inquest will be held at ten o’clock on Monday morning.

‘ MARTON,’ May 30. Mr Bj.ley, an undertaker, of Bulls, died this morning through inhaling the effluvia from the corpse of a Parawanui chief, Kawana Hunia, while placing it in the coffin last Tuesday.
