LATE MR. A. M. LEWIS

BEQUESTS UNDER WILL

Under the will of the late Mr. Alfred Maurice Lewis, who died at Wellington on June 29, the Public Trustee is appointed executor and trustee, and Messrs. E. W. and W. G. Lewis advisory trustees. The will provides for legacies for long-service employees of Thomson, Lewis, and Co., Ltd., and a gift of £1000 to the Salvation Army, to be known as "The A. M. Lewis Bequest," the income from which is to be used for the benefit of the Army's orphanages in Wellington. Upon the termination of certain life interests the residue of the estate, estimated at some £50,000 after the deduction of d.ath duties, etc., is given to the London Missionary Society.
