A NASTY DEED

The Khandallah Boy Scouts have been struggling for some time to erect a hall near the railway station, but apparently some people in the district seem to have the idea they have more right to the timber provided by the boys than the boys themselves. It is estimated that within the last four months over 1000 ft of sarking as well as other building material has been "borrowed" from the site of the proposed hall. The money for the erection of the hall has been raised as the results of the Scouts' own unaided effort, and the building is being undertaken by voluntary labour during weekends. It is hoped that now the work has reached an advanced stage the timber will be returned in time for it to be put to some use. ,
