Members' Day. The September 'meeting. was '.'Members' Day" at the central branch of the League of Mothers. Mrs. Vernon was chairman, and the guest speaker was Mrs. Petch, who gave an inspire ing address on the Christian Order Campaign. Recitations by Mrs. Castle and songs by Mrs. Downer completed the programme. East Vogeltown Patriotic Workers. A busy and enjoyable afternoon was spent recently by the-members of the East Vogeltown Patriotic Committee when they were , visited by the Mayoress, Mrs.. Appleton: The Christmas quota of parcels was packed, together with-ten special parcels for the boy's from the district who are serving overseas, the cost of which was defrayed by the East Vogeltown Progressive Association.
