P.A. V ."■"'■■ WESTPORT, October 1.1 A resolution of no-confidence in the national executive !of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, including the general secretary. 'Mr. L. Mcllvride, was -passed by a special meeting of members of the Westport branch; of the A.S.R.S. today. The meeting further .adopted a resolution that Mr. Mcllvride' be' called on to resign and recontest his seat.
It was further decided that a tele:gram be sent to the. national secretary asking whether the executive council would press for an all-round increase in' pay of 6d- an hour when the tribunal sits in Wellington in October. Failing a guarantee that the executive would do this, further action would ibe taken.
