MORE ACCOUNTED FOR
\. The Prisoners of War Inquiry Office Headquarters states that during the week advice has been received'that another 66 prisoners, formerly in Italian prisoner pf war camps have been located in prison camps in Germany. There are" still approximately 550 of the prisoners who -were in Italy at the. time of the capitulation to be .accounted for. ' '
A report on conditions at Stajag XX A has been received from the International Red Cross Committee, following a visit by an International Red Cross representative at the end of January. Sixty-four .New Zealanders were located at this camp at the time of the visit. The accommodation was satisfactory except for inadequate lighting in 50 of the work detachments. There are 198 work detachments attached to the camp. Food rations aresupplemented by the collective food parcels of which there was a six weeks' supply in the camp. The library contains 25,000 books.: i. There is a theatre and orchestra and the prisoners can clay games and have facilities for skating. The report concludes that there were no complaints regarding work.
Amongst the newly-reported prisoners of war is a New Zealand sapper, who, after being missing since May, 1941, is now in a transit camp, at Athens, Greece.
