DUTCH SPIRITS
RUGBY, July 27. The low morale of German troops in Holland is contrasted with the high spirits of the Dutch by the author Jan de Hartof, who has escaped to London. The spirits of the Germans, he said, depended on whether they were drunk or sober. If drunk, they displayed confidence; otherwise they were lachrymose and miserable. The Dutch were greatly encouraged by each successive African victory-— 8.0. W.
