DEFENCE OF ITALY
DEMAND BY SCORZA
LQNDON, July 2. The German newspaper "Das Reich" says reports from Rome state that the General secretary of the Fascist Party, ignor Scorza, has demanded that he should be entrusted with the defence of all Italy. The demand is considered to be the first step towards the party's assumption of army functions, "Das Reich" comments. Italy's main concern i$ the strengthening of her home front, \yhich is considered to be at least as Important as defence preparation.
