PERSONAL NOTES

The Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) returned today from Auckland.

Mr. A. G. Osborne, M.P. for Onehunga, was sworn in yesterday as a Parliamentary under-secretary to the Prime Minister. It is understood that Mr. Osborne is to devote a good deal of his time to defence matters under the direction of the Prime Minister.

Mr. C. H. Benney, Under-Secretary for Mines, is visiting Auckland.

Mr. J. W. Heenan, Under-Secretary for Internal Affairs, returned to Wellington from Auckland today. Mr. James Fletcher, Commissioner of Defence Construction, has returned to Wellington from Auckland.
