CANADIAN STRIKE STILL ON

OTTAWA, January 20. The Canadian Press Association says that prospects are dim for a settlement of the steel strike which ,has tied up Canada's largest steel plants. The United Steel Workers of America have notified the Government that the workers are unlikely to accept its -^etUement plan. One union official at Sault Sainte Marie said: "We will go back when we get what we asked for—ss cents an hour, plus a full cost-of-living bonus We have also demanded that this pay be made retrospective to last March."
