GORSE FIRES
Gorse fires have kept'the Wellington Fire Brigades busy during the last 24 hours, their services being needed on. several" pdrts' of.'thd. city and suburbs. A» outbreak in Sar Street required their attention yesterday afternoon' and last night, and it was reported to have broken out again this t afternoon. One residence was scorched. An early-morning call was received to. Taubman's paint works at Mira;mar, where a tip of-rubbish outside j the' faetpi-y building, caught lire. There was no damage done.
