From the earliest years the Anniversary' Day re-fatta-'has been a feature of the holiay, but: this ■ year it has been held over till Sunday. ■ ! - Anniversary- Day is not a statutory holiday, such:as Boxing Day or Labour Day; but It is,,in many cases, an award holiday. Some awards do; not provide for Anniversary Day and in the case j of 'those factories where Anniversary Day is:, not 'mentioned, 'the day is a normal'working day. '■ Factories come under the following heads:—(l) Where the factory is covered' bx an award, with-Anniversary Day mentioned as a holiday, all that group of employees .are entitled to double time if.they work; (2) in groups working under' an award, where Anniversary. Day not mentioned, it is a normal working day, and.it is not rrienj tioned,rin any statute. ,
