UNLICENSED WIRELESS

Thirty prosecutions by the Post and Telegraph Department against owners of unlicensed wireless receiving sets were dealt with in the Magistrate's Court by Mr. W. C. Harley, S.M., fines of up to 10s and costs being imposed. Twenty-seven were cases of persons who had not renewed their licences, and in the other three no licences had been taken out at the time of the inspection. A serious view of cases in the second category is taken by the Department.
