EARTHQUAKE DAMAGE REPAIR
An order has been signed and will be gazetted next week providing that in the case of demolition or reconstruction work arising out of the recent earthquake and carried out under the direction of the Commissioner of Defence Construction, the employment of the workers may be on the terms and conditions set out in the Defence Workers' Labour Legislation Suspension Order, 1942, and its amendments. This order operates as from July 7.
