UNENROLLED RESERVISTS
George Leonard Lane, a waterside worker (Mr. G. C. Kent), was fined £10 and costs by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today, for failing to enrol in the First Division of the General Reserve. He was convicted and discharged on a charge of wilfully deceiving the Director of National Service,
Rex Peter Lane, a furrier, was fined £10 and costs for failing to enrol in the Second Division, and the Universal Fur Co., Ltd., was fined £20 and costs for retaining Lane, an unenrolled reservist, in its service for more than seven days.
