CANADA'S NEED OF RUBBER

(Rec. 10 a.m.) OTTAWA, April 13. Mr. Alan Williamson, Controller of Supplies, said today that every ounce of scrap rubber must be collected within a few months, otherwise Canada's armed forces would face a serious lack of supplies.

'In response to his appeal thousands of pounds of old doormats, tyres, and other rubber articles are, pouring in to salvage depots.
