MEALS IN BRITAIN

FURTHER RESTRICTIONS

(Rec. noon.)

RUGBY, April 13.

Regulations governing the sale of food in restaurants, hotels, etc., so that more equitable distribution of available supplies shall be obtained, will shortly be made.

Meals will be limited to three courses and certain limits will be set to the price of meals. So that fish, game, and poultry may be more readily available for domestic consumption, they will not be served in restaurants, etc., except on certain specified days. The regulation will also discourage the holding of large luncheons and dinners and the serving of food after 11 p.m.—8.0.W.

arrived hpme from Moscow, declared:

"The Russians are determined to bear all hardships, in the firm belief that they will win the war."

He explained the Russians' ability to endure hardships by the national character and Government propaganda, and also the experiences of maladministration under the Tsarist regime. He added that he was impressed by the people's trust in M. Stalin, which resembled the confidence the Germans placed in Herr Hitler.
