W.0.5.0. CLUB DECIDES TO HELP
The first meeting this year .of the W. 0.5.0. (Wives of Officers. Serving Overseas) Club was held on Monday at the United Services Club. Mrs Montgomery Spencer, president, was in the chair, and there were 40 members present. Mrs. C Weston was guest of honour. She spoke of the Returned Services Association and the use it could be to members of-the W. 0.5.0. Club and how they could help this new movement. Mrs. Weston said it was obvious that the R.S.A. women's section should be organised by. the wives and mothers of men -of the Second N.Z.E.F. The women's section had only been a few months in existence, though for many years there had been active women's committees attached to R.S.A. branches. At the outbreak of war the need for co-ordinated effort had been felt, and with the main object of helping the women whose menfolk are serving their country, and extending a helping hand in sympathy and mutual understanding, the R.S.A. women's section had been formed. At the conclusion of Mrs. Weston s address the W. 0.5.0 Club's committee conferred and decided to help the women's section of the R.S.A. through the avenue of visiting.
