INGENIOUS PREPARATION BY NAZIS
(Rec. 2 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 26. Th 6 German forces in Russia, who are now forced to use more horses, are adopting an ingenious but' cruel method of preventing animals from shying under gunfire and dive-bomb-' irig./ The Germans are piercing their eardrums and cutting their vocal chords so that the horses neither hear nor make a sound . when they are wounded, so giving away their positions.
