DEATH DUE TO FALL

The death of George Roger Williams after a fall from a platform six feet above the floor at Odlin's timber yard, Petone, on September 20, was the subject of an inquest held by the Coroner, Mr. W. G. Mellish. SeniorSergeant Wade conducted the inquiry, and Mr. A. B. Buxton appeared for Messrs. C. and A. Odlin.

Dr. P. P. Lynch said that his examination did not disclose any evidence of a seizure, such as would have been evident if the seizure had been caused by heart or brain trouble.

A verdict was returned to the effect that death was due to fracture of the skull and laceration of the brain resulting from the fall.
