WEEKLY CATERING
COUNTRY FRIENDS HELP
A.N.A. CLUB
Country people who cannot actively help in servicemen's clubs in town give their support by making generous gifts of food and the A.N.A. Club is particularly fortunate in this .e----spect. Last week it had generous hampers from the Dannevirke Women's Patriotic Society, the Dannevirke Labour Party, the Masterton National i Welfare League, the Reikorangi-Waika-nae Women's Institute, and the Wai-hou-Puketapu branch of the W.D.F.U. Caket were received from the Otaki women's emergency committee, eggs from the Marton ladies' committee, and vegetables from Holden, Makoututu, Hawke's Bay. The cafteria was specially busy, and particularly heavy duty was done by the girls* auxiliary. The executive was also helped by Mrs. P. Fraser's party, members of the Navy League, and by A.N.A. helpers. Misses Valeric Neely, Marie Yates-Jones, and Dorothy Harriss were on duty in the ballroom for the weekend dances. On Sunday many men were entertained in the ballroom, junior Navy League members remaining on duty in the cafeteria.
