PERSONAL NOTES
Squadron Leader and Mrs. Alister Young, Wellington, left last night for! Christchurch. Lady Douglas, Oriental Bay, is the guest of Mrs. M. M. McCallum, Remuera, Auckland. Mrs. Eric Price, who came to New Zealand lately from Singapore, will arrive in Christchurch by air on Thursday to take up the post of general secretary of the Y.W.C.A. Miss Phyllis Hindle, who resigned recently from the secretaryship, will leave Christchurch early next week on her way to take up her new appointment at the Y.W.C.A., Melbourne. Countess Ouvaroff and the Hon. Mrs. Patrick May are Christchurch visitors to The Portage, Pelorus Sounds. Mrs. H. D. Bates, Mrs. J. B. Davis, Mrs. S. Barton, and Mrs. Murray Davis came down from Wanganui for the inter-collegiate tournament. Miss Hazel McKenzie, Auckland, who has been visiting Miss Katherine Maunsell in the Wairarapa, left Wellington at the weekend on her return home. Miss Tira Griffin, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. Gerald Benson, Dunedin. Mrs. E. W. Chandler, Dunedin, has returned home from a holiday spent in Wellington and Christchurch. Mrs. Grace, Palmerston North, is visiting Wellington and is the guest of Canon and-Mrs. D. J. Davies, Hill Street
