WANGANUI WEDDING
MILITARY DOCTOR WEDS A wedding of wide interest took place in Christ's Church, Wanganui, on Saturday afternoon, when Prudence, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Todd, "Krollmere," Makirikiri, Wanganui, was married to Dr.Edmund Gillian Young, younger son of Mr: and Mrs. H. A. Young, Cashmere Road, Christchurch. The Ven. Archdeacon J. K. Young officiated at the ceremony and Mr. F. Wentworth Slater was the organist. The bride, who wore gold, brocaded satin, was escorted by her father, and attended by her sisters, Misses Valerie and Heather Todd. Dr. Alvin de Berry, Palmerston' North, was best man, and Lieutenant George Fenwick, N.Z.M.C., Auckland, was groomsman. The ushers were Messrs. Ken Honeyfield, Trevor Collins, David Orton, and Austin Young. A reception was held in the lounge at Foster's Hotel, when about 250 guests were received by Mrs. Todd, assisted by Mrs. H. A. Young. The bridegroom, who is on military duty, was formerly assistant medical superintendent at the Christchurch Hospital. mmmmmmmmmmmm _ iimmimimmmam
