Advocating nation-wide daylight saving, the Secretary of the Interior, Mr. H. M. Ickes, said that America might have to resort to restricted use of electricity and institute "gasless Sundays" to meet the shortages of power owing to the unprecedented defence production programme.—U.P.A.
